The following are questions that should be asked, and areas of a house that should be noted when looking at the house.

1. What is the visible condition of the exterior?
2. What condition was the interior in?
3. What is the state of the neighboring house and yards?
4. Do the neighbors take pride in taking care of their yards?
5. Are the any major repairs or replacements that need to be done?
6. Where is the house located in relation to the neighborhood/ town?
7. Take notes of house features (appliances, architectural design, built in features)
8. Take notice to the landscaping (likes, dislikes, # of hours required for up keep)
9. What is the size of the lot and zoning?
10. What is the proximity to town, schools, banks, shopping and other public places)?
11. How long has the house been listed?
12. Why does the seller want to sell the house?
13. Is this home in your budget?
